The estate of Villaret is made up several groups of buildings.

-   The 'maison de maître', also called 'the Huguenot house' dates from the beginning of the 18th century.

-   The old silk mill is a graceful construction, enhanced by the wide arches of the breakfast room. The actual rooms of the museum are set up in what were once the magnaneries (rooms for cultivating silk worms).

-   A group of buildings dating from the 15th century shelters a traditional bread oven. Access is gained via a narrow passage decorated with flying buttresses. In the passage there is a fortified gate with machicolations (holes for dropping rocks on enemies) and arrow loops.

 -   The ancient farm, a large group of buildings dating from the 16th century, houses the hotel bedrooms.
